Oil protection relay in transformers
DELTA ELEKTRiK

Buchholz Relay
To detect faults and reduce the spread of any damage that may occur inside the windings The induction circuit is designed to occur in oil. Examples of faults that can cause gas build-up or strong oil currents in the oil circuit are as follows:
• Short-circuited core layers.
• Damaged core insulation.
• Overheating. Too many windings.
• Bad connections.
• Short circuit between phases.
• Grounding faults.
• Holes in bushing insulators inside the tank.
• Reduced oil level due to leakage. .
• Air entry as a result of a defect in the oil circulation system. The top, both of which are made of corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy and coated with electrostatic powder paint.
Main body
Both screw or flange type connections are available, depending on the model. . On each side, there are graduated inspection windows that allow reading the gas volume and checking the contact system. Inspection windows also have additional metal covers to protect against external hazards.
